Helping You Discover Yourself in Cross-Cultural Ministry...

EXPLORE Workshop is an intensive two-and-one-half-day guided exploration that provides the time, tools and professional expertise to examine your personal gifts, interests, talents and achievements in light of the demands of cross-cultural ministry.  The purpose of the workshop is to help you and your church to identify your fit as a workers in God’s global harvest.  EXPLORE Workshop does this by:
  • Helping you to assess your call, character, fit, and readiness for missionary service.
  • Providing feedback to your church to better encourage and place you in service.
  • Advising you and  your church of the next practical steps to take.
Is EXPLORE Workshop for you?
The workshop is designed for people who:
  • Believe in and follow Jesus, and who have a desire to share Him with other.
  • Actively serve in their local church.
  • Are open to God’s calling to cross-cultural ministry.
  • Pray and give for missionary endeavors around the globe.
  • Sense that God might be saying, "This work is for you."

What happens at the workshop?
During the sessions the staff will lead you to evaluate yourself in the areas of spiritual life, family responsibilities, physical and emotional health, communication skills, personal achievements, work experience, values, and finances. You will complete a health and mental health history questionnaire, a communication style inventory, an intercultural skills inventory and receive a personal and professional debriefing of each. You will journal on each topic in your notebook and summarize findings, out of which you will set goals and next steps.

Each workshop is limited to 22 participants, and the final activity of the workshop will be a personal interview with an EXPLORE staff member to help you synthesize what you have learned, verbalize feelings and goals related to possible missionary service, and establish action steps.
