We see that our help in this present difficulty will help shape this church (and more than likely, others) in coming years.”

30 MEXICO Peter and Cherlyn Gatto write,

“Our ministry using horses has grown leaps and bounds.  Last Sunday we ended the program for the summer with a huge celebration (‘Round-up’), inviting the kids along with their families to come out to the ranch for a day of riding, games in the riverbed and food and fellowship.
We recognized each child with a special certificate to highlight their accomplishments.  We also made a DVD for them to take home of all the pictures from the last 5 months.
Each one of those kids has touched our lives in a very special way.  One in particular, though, we want to share with you.  His name is Sammy.  He is a large boy who has challenges mentally and came out to the ranch every weekend with his mom and dad.  He loves the horses, but from day one was very afraid of them.  Week by week he worked up his courage to pat, then brush, then, amazingly, ride the horses!  His heart shouted for joy that day he got into the saddle as he yelled, ‘Look, Mommy, I did it!’  With tears in our eyes we yelled back, ‘Yes, Sammy!  We knew you could!’  How do we ever measure the impact of an accomplishment so great in a young one’s heart?”
Please pray that the Lord would continue to use this ministry to draw people closer to himself.
