2 NORTH ASIA A worker writes, “June 1-4, we will hold a pastors' conference in North Asia. Those attending are influential pastors of large congregations. An experienced North Asian pastor/TEAM missionary will be teaching and sharing. Please pray for the free work of the Holy Spirit and protection from security problems.”

3 JAPAN Tom and Ginna Sloan write, “Tom is moving forward in steps toward the next church plant.  He has followed up on one of the locations we have been praying about for some time now. Thanks for praying that this church plant will become a reality by September.”

5 MEXICO Arthur and Vicki Reyes ask for prayer that the blueprints for their new church would be finished this month.

6 SWEDEN Stewart and Beth Webster write. “June 6 is Sweden's National Day, and New Life Church, together with sister congregation Tomas Church will be part of the festivities.  We will offer activities for children, hold an open-air worship service, give out information about a drop-in preschool and proposed culture school.  Pray that we will make good contacts with people and increase the visibility of our congregations locally.”

7 US Irene Mellema and Dave Davis will be joining a multiple agency task force in Atlanta, GA to learn how to better mobilize and cooperatively deploy workers among *unengaged Muslim people groups.  Pray we learn how to do this.  (*Unengaged means there is no Gospel witness among them today.)

8 SPAIN Carey and Sharon Owen write, “Praise the Lord that we got the official word that the city government has taken the next important step in this process of paper work - publishing the criteria for receiving the land grant for our Christian School. We must give a refundable deposit of $40,000 that guarantees that we will develop the land as said and by a certain time. So we ask for prayer to cover all of these needs in a very special way.”

9 CZECH REPUBLIC Mark and Gretchen Potma write, “This spring’s Alpha course has been very encouraging. Skalka church outreach worker, Petr Sedy, and his wife, Mirka, are leading it with the help of Karel (the boxer who was baptized last June). Please pray for the participants.  It is satisfying to see the ministry continue with less involvement from Mark, especially as we prepare for our upcoming Home Ministry Assignment.”

10 AUSTRALIA Ray and Marti Williams write, “Pray with us about the development of the Strategic Vision for the Australia Ministry Area and the future of the ministry here.  Pray with us about the development of partnerships with Adelaide College of Ministries, mission agencies, church planting agencies, as well as individual churches. Pray with us for Craigmore Christian Church, that they would be able to purposefully move ahead with the church plant.”

11 JAPAN Paul and Violette Bridgman write, “Please pray for Sakuragaoka Christ Church (formerly Sanyo Grace Church) as the new building is completed. The dedication service will be on June 12th. Pray for the church at their new very visible location to be a testimony of God's love and grace, and that many souls will come to salvation there.”

12 APPOINTEES Pray for Blake and Rachel Anderberg who are heading toward Sweden to help with a church planting ministry there.  They hope to leave this summer, but they are still in need of financial support.  Pray that they’ll be able to discern if this summer is the time God wants them to leave or if they should wait longer.

13 ZIMBABWE Dan and Julie Stephens write concerning needing replacements during their home assignment, “We have several medical doctors (family practitioners) who have been here before coming for the entire year. Each will serve a few months and a surgeon is coming for a month.  There are also a few other family practitioners coming.  Our national doctor is leaving, however. Keep praying for a full-time surgeon to come.”

14 JAPAN Stephen and Satomi Sakamoto write, “Mrs. Yoshimoto, one of our believer housewives, after praying with us many times for new contacts for evangelism, offered her home for Thursday afternoon children’s outreach. Mrs. Yoshimoto has already asked the children and parents in her immediate neighborhood to come!
Pray for God to send many children, and that all will be saved, come to Church, and grow in faith.”

15 SOUTH ASIA Workers write, “In the coming two months four families are being deployed to new areas, having completed language and orientation. Praise the Lord for another step in their service and pray for their speedy and effective integration into their ministry areas.”

16 JAPAN Owen and Sarah Ames write, “Pray for Owen’s ministry to university students. He meets with an English speaking club once a week and wants to build good relationships with these young people and invite them to events at the café.”

17 MIDDLE EAST Workers write, “Recently, a handful of national brothers in our town came under persecution and were forced to leave their jobs because of their belief  in Christ and more brothers are now ‘under the microscope’. In spite of these discouragements, new folks keep joining the family. Please keep all of these brothers and sisters in your hearts and before our Father's throne.”

18 SPAIN Don and Paula Cabeen write, “The Campinya Church in Seville has had over 180 programs aired on the local TV station. With the switch to digital broadcasting this local station will disappear. However, a new station is being created that will potentially reach 110,000 people in 9 towns (the previous station had a potential audience of 11,000), several of them with no Gospel witness. Pray that "Encuentros de Esperanza" will be included in the programming of this new station for the same price - free!

19 GLOBAL Many missionaries around the world are currently under-supported financially because of  the changing economy.  Please pray for their needs to be met so they may stay where God has placed them to serve him.

20 APPOINTEES Pray for Haniel and Michelle D. who plan to leave toward the end of the summer for their ministry in the Middle East.  Pray that God would provide their full financial support and that they would have wisdom as they pack, say goodbye, and re-establish themselves in a new location.

21 US International Director, Charlie Davis, will be speaking at  Four Oaks Community Church in Tallahassee, FL on June 26-27. Pray that Charlie would be able to challenge and encourage them to become a church with a vision for reaching the world for the Kingdom and possibly partner with TEAM to accomplish this purpose.

24 PERU Kathi Small writes, “Please Pray for our ministry year in Ciudad de Dios which started again in April with a commitment toward planting a church in the community in the next few years.  We are again working with children and youth, however instead of a ladies’ group we desire to work with the whole family to encourage the ladies’ husbands to come also.”

25 SPAIN Jay and Carolyn Sensenig write, “Pray for the ‘time of transition’ in the downtown Madrid church (Oasis Madrid) as its team leader and founding pastor moves back to the U.S. in June. The newly formed elder board is up and running but much wisdom, strength and endurance is needed for the ‘marathon’ ahead.”

26 PAPUA Nathan and Harmony Jansen write, “Please pray for the fundraising efforts of the Merauke Community Center to meet the 2009-2010 budget.  Pray for Mitchell Goings, a student at Moody who will be doing an Internship in June/July at the MCC, to have a valuable internship experience, and that the community of Merauke would be blessed through his ministry.”

27 PAPUA Shirley Preston writes, “Pray for peace among the staff and board members of Roesler Memorial Bible School. Pray for a movement of the Holy Spirit among the students, that hearts would be opened to the truth of the Gospel.”

28 HUNGARY Bob and Noreen Vajko, TEAM Church Planting Consultants, praise the Lord for answered prayer during their ministry trip to Hungary in April. Doors opened to train church planters in four areas with six to seven participants from churches in each area.  We see God moving in Hungary to multiply churches.  Pray that those who attended will effectively plant many new daughter churches.

29 ITALY Linda Brucato writes, “Andy and I joined a local Astronomy club with the hopes of sharing Christ (the One who made the stars!). In October, Charlie Duke, one of the astronauts who walked on the Moon, is coming to Bologna with Campus Crusade for an evangelistic outreach.  Pray that Christ would reach people in Bologna through this club.”

From the Mouths of Babes:
(From the newsletter of David and Miriam Kanagy)

Monica, a 12 year-old new believer, enjoys the music time during our services.  She often cries.  Another new visitor to our services, Rogerio, thought that it was funny how Monica got so emotional, and one service began to mock her.   Monica didn't say anything to Rogerio, but decided to visit his home later in the week.

She arrived at the home, and sat down with Rogerio and his parents. Monica began, "I'm here, because Rogerio needs salvation.  He doesn't understand anything about the Holy Spirit.  I'm also here, because you also need salvation, because if you had salvation you would have taught Rogerio about Jesus, and his need to worship Jesus respectfully in church.  On Sunday, I was singing in church, and Rogerio didn't understand anything about what was going on, and he just laughed at me and made fun.  So, I have come to just visit you and say that this house really needs salvation."

Rogerio's mom, Gisele, told this story to one
of our pastor's wives.  She was embarrassed and convicted.   Dave has started a Bible study with Gisele and her husband.
