2 SPAIN Jay and Carolyn Sensenig write, “Pray for the Easter Retreat, April 1-4, of the Oasis Madrid Church.  The guest speaker will be a former colleague, professor and mentor who worked at Columbia International University for many years, Dr. B. Hathaway Struthers.  He will be presenting the names of God to conclude a series on our identity in Christ during the Lenten season..  Pray for clarity and bridging the generation gap--Oasis Madrid is largely a congregation of people in their 20’s and 30’s.

3 INDONESIA Romy and Edna Romulo hope to establish two  half-way houses for street children and a Prison Ministry rehabilitation center in Java.  They write, “Please pray for us as we work to fulfill these goals.  We will need lots of prayer and financial support.”

5 MEXICO Art and Vicki Reyes write, “One of our volunteer architects is having serious marital problems, so he has not finished the church blueprints.  Please pray for this couple.  Unfortunately, we need the blueprints to obtain a construction permit.  Several American churches want to send construction workers but we cannot give them dates until we have the permit. Please pray for the Lord's timing- and for us to be patient!”

6 HUNGARY Bob and Noreen Vajko, TEAM International Church Planting Consultants, write, “We will be in Budapest, Hungary training Hungarian church planters.  Pray for church planters and churches to catch the vision to multiply by starting new churches. 7 AFRICA Zimbabwe Pray for Karanda Nursing School as they select the new students who will begin in May.

8 NORTH ASIA A worker writes, “I share an apartment with a local person.  The spiritual struggle is great!  I love having her stay with me, but I realize that in doing so all of her “baggage” comes with her.  Please ask that I will continually be in communication with God.  As we live life together may she see Christ in me and be attracted to him.  Please ask, also, that our home would be a place of peace and rest.  May it be the experience of all who enter.”

9 AFRICA Zimbabwe Naomi Redington writes, “Continue to pray for Kid’s Club which continues to thrive through the help of short-term workers and financial support from the U.S.  The kids were thrilled when presented with brand new school uniforms, socks and shoes.”

11 AFRICA Chad Rick and Monica Haberkamp write, “Pray that in OneStory, a project sharing the Gospel through story-telling, we get as many stories as possible finished before we leave for the States, May
11th. Our crafter, MHW, has been struggling with Bible passages about the special Servant. We think God is working on his heart, but Islam has a strong hold on him as well. Pray that God will cause the truth of the stories to circulate often in his mind.”

12 JAPAN Agape English Cafe is a monthly outreach event of Agape Bible Church in Kobe, Japan where Murray and Kathy Trim minister.  Pray for the English students and other contacts who enjoy chatting with native English speakers while drinking tea or coffee and eating homemade goodies and snacks.  A program of upbeat music and a short evangelistic testimony/message is included.

13 NORTH ASIA Workers write, “After we conducted a pastor training in January, three of the lay pastors started replicating the Walk through the Bible (OT) Course with three youth groups and a group of church coworkers. 14 FRANCE The Mennecy, France church is nearing the end of the planting process and we are asking God for a French pastoral seminary student to come and do an internship in the church and then to take over as pastor.  There are always more requests than students to go around.

We hope that this ministry will expand and make an impact in both our church fellowship and in the community.

18 AUSTRIA Beheimgasse Church thanks God that some who have been asked about the possibility to serve as leaders in the church have already said that they want to if God and the congregation confirm that through the elections on April 18. Pray for God’s wisdom and direction.

29 SWEDEN Stewart and Beth Webster write, “Pray for the Stockholm 2020 church planting conference the weekend beginning April 30.  Our challenge is to plant 50 churches in Stockholm in the coming 10 years, and we need God to bring willing servants to this task.  At the current rate of decline, without God's intervention, the evangelical church in Sweden could disappear in this century.”

30 NORTH ASIA

Elizabeth "I tell you the truth, there is more rejoicing ... over one."

A week before Christmas, I met with Elizabeth.  She'd requested help to prepare for an important English exam.  Over bowls of steaming tea, Elizabeth asked, "So, do you trust in Jesus?" I replied that I did, and Elizabeth told me she'd learned about him recently.  "I think I might join you" she said.    I wasn't sure I'd heard correctly.   She continued, "He sounds like a very special person. I might want to trust him too." She took out her exam materials briefly, then returned them to her bag and asked more questions about my experiences with Jesus.   As we walked away, she said, "This is so new for me. I need to know more about him in order to believe in him.  But you know what?  Maybe I already do..."
Then she headed home, to a place where no one else knows this God she's so interested in, saying she wanted to tell her family and her friends, who also need clean hearts.
It has not been the pattern in North Asia for people to have any interest in being given the new life Jesus offers, or for attempts to share it to be met with encouragement.
Elizabeth wants to know God more.  As far as she knows, no one around her will have heard even as much as she has.  Many may be staunchly in opposition.  Please ask that his Holy Spirit would fill Elizabeth, that she would grow in knowing God, that her heart would be one in which roots go deeper through this time, and that he would keep her from the evil one.
