1 BUSINESS AS MISSION Doug Witzig, TEAM’s BAM coordinator writes, “Pray for a student-led BAM conference for Midwest colleges, Feb 2-4. Pray that the year 2012 will see many more unreached people groups engaged with the Good News!”
2 ITALY Please pray for God to send many students to fill English classes that just started up at the Mestre church. These classes are a very important source of income to fund the church budget and serve as an excellent platform for forming friendships that almost always lead to opportunities to share Christ.
3 JAPAN Stella Cox writes, “Pray for Japan. Japan is still feeling fearful from the effects of the tsunami and radiation. Thousands faced Christmas without their own homes and families. Thousands of short-term volunteers have come to help but they need people for long-term service – especially those who can speak Japanese. Christmas is seen and felt everywhere… every household had a Christmas cake on Christmas morning. These dear people still walk in darkness and need more people to tell them whose birthday we celebrate.”
4 PAPUA Walter and Diane Kennedy write, “Please pray as the newly formed mission board evaluates surveys and selects ministry areas for our first 14 Papuan missionary families. The mission board is under the Bible Christian Fellowship Church of Indonesia. It is the national church that TEAM started 60 years ago.”
5 MIDDLE EAST A worker at a Christian hospital writes, “Please pray for a solution to the need for a national citizen to fill the role of Government Liaison for the hospital. In efforts to nationalize the workforce, each establishment is required to employ a national who is the only one able to work directly with the immigration department. This means we cannot get new employee visas and other documents processed until this position is filled.”
6 CZECH REPUBLIC Mark and Gretchen Potma write, “Please pray for our new brothers and sisters in Christ, that they would grow strong and deep in their faith and that their spouses, family members and friends would also desire the same new life.”
7 CHAD Scott and Suz Downing write, “It’s exciting to see God grow our team. Not only does this increase our numbers, it increases what we can offer communities and lets us have time to fellowship... in English! We see the Body of Jesus as one; each of us representing a different body part. Pray that those watching us will see us working together in love and it points them to our Lord Jesus.” |

2 PAPUA Teresa Rhoads writes, “I have returned to Papua, Indonesia for my last term. I will be retiring from the Papua ministry October 2013. Please pray as I prayerfully consider priorities on what God wants to see accomplished concerning the continued spiritual growth and development of the Meyah believers.”
3 US The leaders of TEAM have re-committed the organization to a value that has historically been true within TEAM. That value is the high importance of serving the Body of Christ on the sending-side of the missionary equation in a direct and relational way. Please pray for TEAM representatives in the coming months who are personally visiting missions leaders in local churches across North America in order to determine how the Lord would have TEAM best serve them as they obey the his Great Commission.
4 SPAIN Jay and Carolyn Sensenig write, “Pray for several church planting/team development events at Oasis Church planned for late January. Each team has its special needs and personality. Pray for wisdom to assess well where each team is in its relationships and ministry and how we can guide them to even more effectiveness.”
5 JAPAN Tim Cole writes, “Pray for much impact and fruit from Family Forum, Japan's new radio broadcast, aired 3 times a week in the tsunami hit regions of Northeast Japan. Also pray for FFJ's financial situation, which has been hit hard by the earthquake/tsunami disaster. We currently need approx. $60,000 to catch up on staff salaries and reprint out-of-print resources.”
6 MEXICO Art and Vicki Reyes write, “What is this? Is this a church? Two neighbors stopped and asked as we were leaving after church the first Sunday service at our new land. After a few Bible studies with one of our members, Susie and Fatima decided to become sisters in Christ. Pray as they and two teens plan to be baptized.”
7 AUSTRIA The Chadwicks are getting close to leaving for Austria. Pray that their residency visa will be approved soon so they can make their moving and flight plans. They hope their oldest child, Ellison can start school at the beginning of the second semester. Please pray also for the remaining support to come in so that they can get a good start in Vienna.
