Life in the Yushu Valley, in the remote west of China, was hard before the earthquake.  After the quake, hope is evaporating.  But hope belongs to Jesus Christ who, by His Spirit and through His Body, the church, gives it freely to the needy.  "Now you are the Body of Christ." Give freely! 

With the initial death toll at well over 2,000 souls, the real agony of an earthquake sets in upon the people in the months, and even years to follow.  Disease and infections continue to take lives.  Amputations and long-term handicaps disable bread winners and entire families laps into poverty for generations to come.

But you can offer help and TEAM can place your help directly into the hands of medical assets on the ground and in the middle of the earthquake region. They are , with your help, delivering care with the love and in the name of Jesus Christ.

TEAM can ensure that donated funds are used directly to alleviate the suffering caused by the April 14 earthquake in the remote Yushu Valley in Qinghai Province in the following possible ways:

Short Term Response:

•    Funding of medical relief efforts (e.g. medicines & equipment, transport, etc.)
•    Continued support of medical teams in planning and logistics.

Long-Term Response:

•    Medical/professional input into rehabilitation of injured survivors.
•    Potential construction of a rehabilitation facility in partnership with other organizations (such as; Red Cross Society, Amity Society).
•    Counseling of survivors
•    Micro-loan seed money to help locals re-establish their businesses
